The gift of Living Authentically

“If you call forth that which is in you, it will save you.  If you do not call forth what is in you, it will destroy you. ”  – Gospel of St. Thomas

What does it mean to live authentically? I believe that it means that our inner world (feelings, values, spirituality, truths) are in alignment with our outer world (community, career, relationships). When these two areas of our lives are congruent, we experience an inner peace and wisdom that brings us deep fulfillment and joy in our lives. We are each born with our own inner compass… but when we choose not to follow our true direction and path in life, we find ourselves lost… sometimes lost in our own lives. In living with true alignment, our purpose here on this life journey will become crystal clear, and we will enjoy life the way we were intended to.

Words of Wisdom from Anne Frank

“How wonderful it is that nobody need to wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”

-Anne Frank,

author, holocaust survivor

We can all make a difference and contribute whenever we choose to, at any age, or under any circumstance.  When we contribute, we feel a pure sense of fulfillment.   This is also where we can find great purpose and worth.  Choose to reach out and make a difference today… it will do your soul good.

The Will To WIN!

“The spirit, the will to win and the will to excel – these are the things that will endure and these are the qualities that are so much more important than any of the events themselves.” – Vince Lombardi, Jr.

Words of Wisdom from Jim Rohn

“Learn to work harder on yourself than you do on your job.  I’ve worked hard on my personal development, and I must admit that this has been the most challenging assignment of all. This business of personal development lasts a lifetime.  But here’s the great axiom of life:  To have more than you’ve got, become more than you are.  Unless you change how you are, you’ll always have what you’ve got.”  – Jim Rohn (Lessons on Life).

I believe this to be completely true!  If there’s anything you need to change in your life… your health, your career, your relationships – YOU are the change.  Most people play the blame game.  They blame the situation, the boss, the spouse, or circumstances for why they can’t have what they want.  The change you are searching for will always come from within you.  YOU FIRST… and the rest will follow.

Instant Inspiration

“To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable; and wealthy, not rich; to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly…to listen to stars and buds, to babes and sages, with open heart; await occasions, hurry never…this is my symphony.” – William Henry Channing
